Reported Speech: Practice Exercises

Exercice 1 — Transformez
Rewrite each sentence as reported speech, using the introductory verb given in brackets. You'll need to add a subject and adjust the pronoun.
Exercice 2 — Choisissez le bon verbe
Drag each verb into the sentence it fits best.
Exercice 3 — Retrouvez la citation directe
Each sentence reports what someone said. Write what they actually said, in direct speech, with quotation marks.
Exercice 4 — Traduisez
Translate each sentence into French.
There is more than one correct way to translate some of these. Write your own attempt, then compare it with the model answers in the corrigés at the bottom of the page.
