Whoever, Whatever, Wherever: Practice Exercises

Quatre exercices pour pratiquer quiconque, qui que, quoi que, où que, quel(le) que et n’importe, du plus simple au plus exigeant.

Exercice 1 — N’importe ou subjonctif ?
Rappel
Does a subject and a conjugated verb follow immediately? If yes, you need a subjunctive construction (où que, quoi que...). If the expression stands alone, you need n’importe.

Complete each sentence with the correct expression: a subjunctive construction or an n’importe form.

Exercice 2 — Conjuguez

The construction is given. Conjugate the verb in brackets to complete the sentence.

Exercice 3 — Traduisez

Translate each sentence into French.

There is more than one correct way to translate some of these. Write your own attempt, then compare it with the model answers in the corrigés at the bottom of the page.

Exercice 4 — Trouvez l’erreur

Each sentence contains one mistake. Write the corrected sentence.
